Convergence India 2013: Celebrating Digitalization Milestones and our First Multi-Network Forum of the New Year

Our team is kicking 2013 off in style, with a significant presence in New Delhi for Convergence India 2013. We are particularly excited for this trade show and conference for a variety of reasons. India is a pivotal market for the emerging model of hybrid pay television networks, and we are very much looking forward to speaking with Indian pay-TV operators and helping them identify and deploy strategies for transitioning and growing subscriber revenue.

Many Indian pay-TV operators launched successful digitalization initiatives in 2012, and we are delighted to celebrate these milestones with our valued partners and customers, while also exploring ways to help them further maximize revenue growth during digitalization.

Along those lines, we are launching our first Multi-network Solutions in the Real World Forum event of 2013 in conjunction with the Convergence India conference. On Day 2 of the event – the 17th Jan a panel of esteemed experts will explore how Indian pay-TV operators can leverage digitalization initiatives to implement innovative multi-network deployment strategies that fuel subscriber and revenue growth.

We are delighted to have panelists from Ericsson, iNovo Broadband, and Magnaquest. We anticipate a lively discussion on how progressive operators can support hybrid, or multi-network, video services with a range of networks, including traditional cable hybrid fiber coax networks or a combination of two or more network types, including over-the-top (OTT) delivery. The complimentary Forum is scheduled from 14:30 – 16:00 hours in Hall 18 on the Upper Floor. Scheduled presentations include:

  • Implementing Smart Hybrid Networks to Drive Growth
  • Enhancing ARPU through Cloud-based Services
  • CPE Strategy for Profitable Multi-Screen Services
  • Addressable Security Strategies for Multi-network Service Delivery

The panel Q&A will be moderated by Avni Rambhia, Senior Industry Analyst, Digital Media, Frost & Sullivan, who will be posting her thoughts on the digitalization efforts on Pay TV Views very soon. To sign up to attend the Forum, please visit

I will also be participating in a panel on “Post Digitization Scenario in India – DTH vs. Cable TV Operators” during the conference on 17 Jan. 2013 at 10:00 – 11:30 hours in Session 1. Plus our talented team will be hosting several demonstrations in our booth (#C-64) highlighting how our Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) can solve multi-screen video services challenges by providing a unified revenue security platform that supports innovative cardless security and broadcast-IP hybrid solutions.

Add in a couple of exciting new customer announcements - including TCCL - into the mix, and you have all of the ingredients for a very lively and memorable event!  If you will be at the conference, please drop by the booth or the Forum to say hello; if you won’t be making the journey, be sure to watch our Twitter feed for live updates! #multinetwork #CI2013
