The Verimatrix Broadcast Content Security Manager (BCSM) is the core component of the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System for
Digital Video Broadcasting, VCAS™ for DVB. BCSM enables advanced pay-TV business models and options within a VCAS secured pay-TV system,
including impulse pay-per-view (IPPV) tokens, and it provides each operator with virtually unlimited flexibility to define products and services. It
also offers instant mobile phone and Web-based self-provisioning, which lowers or eliminates the cost of call centers and back-end systems.
BCSM works in conjunction with the Verimatrix EncryptionEngine, a dedicated hardware component that ensures operational network and
physical security. It encrypts the subscriber-related information and BCSM system messages prior to insertion in the MPEG-2 Transport Stream.
Keys are never transmitted or stored in the clear.
BCSM is the core component for operating VCAS-secured DVB services over satellite, cable and terrestrial networks, featuring:
