"Digital Future Seminar Series: Developments in Broadcast Content Protection and the Role of Government"
TOPIC: Technical solutions have been deployed in Asia Pacific to protect over-the-air and Pay TV broadcast content. These include DRMs, conditional access, encryption and link protection among others. Such solutions aim to safeguard content from illegal redistribution. This half-day session will discuss recent technological and regulatory developments throughout Asia Pacific, and the synergy that technology and policy share in the development of digital broadcast content protection. We will also explore various government priorities such as standards, research and development, training, legislation, enforcement, and awareness messaging.
