Cable, satellite and terrestrial operators, as well as IPTV providers, can facilitate a network transition by adopting next-generation security strategies that minimize constraints of legacy hardware-based conditional access (CA) systems. However, how this is achieved within reasonable cost parameters varies greatly from one situation to another.
