Proactive Digitalisation Strategies to Maximize Revenue Growth

As we enter Phase II of India’s digitalisation of cable TV, a highly competitive market has emerged focused on transitioning and growing subscriber populations. Cable MSOs not only must manage their technology and business model upgrades, but also defend their turf against direct-to-home (DTH) and IPTV service providers eager to capitalize on network transition challenges.

Developing proactive strategies that think beyond the Digital Addressable System (DAS) mandate are increasingly necessary in order to effectively compete and yield revenue growth. Progressive operators are now building hybrid, or multi-network, video services that range from the traditional cable hybrid fiber coax network to a combination of two or more network types, including over-the-top (OTT) delivery.
