To underscore the global opportunities of hybrid networks, Verimatrix marked a major milestone with the announcement of a major DVB-C/IP hybrid deployment with Cablemás, the 2nd largest operator in Mexico. This first-of-its-kind deployment in Latin America is based on the DVB standard for broadcast combined with IP for interactive services. The standards-based solution is a much-needed alternative to the proprietary approach of legacy cable vendors.
